Ideas for my Care to Change video
Videos entered into the United Way Care to Change Video Competition should educate and inspire the viewer to help seniors or children in need in British Columbia.
The focus of your Care to Change video can be based on issues such as bullying, poverty, loneliness, vulnerability or isolation that children or seniors in BC may face and how we can overcome them. We ask you to create a video that answers the question What does one of these issues mean to me and how do I care to change it?
Many people do not know that:
- Almost 30% of seniors live alone.
- Over 40% of grade 4 – 7 students experience bullying.
- Almost 20% of children in B.C. live in poverty.
You could make a video about a child that was bullied, or a senior that was alone, or a child and family that did not stand a chance. Or whichever one of these themes resonates best with you. We’re open to your interpretation. It could be a true story, a personal story or an imagined one…
