We wanted to raise awareness about child poverty in BC, and issue that often goes unnoticed. We chose a more subtle, and some say hidden, scenario because we wanted to demonstrate how poverty can and does manifest itself in so many ways. Certainly there are more overt examples of poverty but we feel angling our focus in this way may better paint how systemic poverty has become.
